The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) funded consent-based siting consortia awardees to ensure fair and inclusive involvement of all individuals interested in DOE’s consent-based siting process to site one or more federal consolidated interim storage facilities for the nation’s spent nuclear fuel. These geographically and institutionally diverse awardees will lead inclusive engagement efforts and elicit public feedback to refine DOE’s consent-based siting process, and develop strategies that support mutual learning.
Webinar Purpose
The purpose of this interactive webinar is to encourage public dialogue with the consortia and DOE. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions to the consortia regarding their plans to foster community discussion and capture feedback on federal interim storage of spent nuclear fuel.
